From travellers and locals

The idea for this blog developed itself during our work at the hostel; here, people from all over the world come to experience Frankfurt and we are glad to show travellers who do not know much about the city our suggestions to spend the best possible time here.

Let’s show Frankfurt from as many points of views possible!

Everyone is welcome to share Frankfurt experiences!

Frankfurt’s Top Five

Sachsenhausen: Frankfurt’s “South Bank” — with acres of gourmet restaurants, fast-food joints, live music establishments, and bars — is one big outdoor party in summer.

Paleontology paradise: Beyond a huge dinosaur skeleton, the Senckenberg Natural History Museum has exhibits of many other extinct animals and plants, plus dioramas of animals in their habitat.

Frankfurt Hostel: Pub Crawl

Frankfurters in Frankfurt: To many of us, Frankfurt was a sausage before it was a city. But the Frankfurter Würstchen resembles the American hot dog only in size and shape. It’s a quality smoked product. Try one at a butcher shop or restaurant.

Exotic experience: If you’re tired of the humdrum world, go to another at the Frankfurt Zoo’s Exotarium. You’ll find coral, fish, snakes, alligators, amphibians, insects, and spiders. It’s sometimes open at night when the rest of the zoo is closed.

Breathtaking views: The skyline of “Mainhattan,” as they call it, is spread before you from the Maintower’s restaurant in the clouds.
